Golden bay motels

We booked a night on the spur and enjoyed our stay. The 2bdrm unit was clean on arrival, with everything needed to relax. The shower was beautiful. A few minor issues were raised with the owners for which we received an apology. Overall a comfortable, warm and enjoyable stay.Rooms: 4/5

Lovely old motels and Iovely pattios which looked over the garden. Which would be great for young ones. Another awesome thing is that it's situated close to the town.Rooms: 4/5

Nice quiet place. On the doorstep to Farewell Spit, and Collingwood. Walkability: Easy walk to town centre, shops, pubs, cinema and supermarket.

Comfortable, clean units, well priced with very comfortable beds and pillows! Excellent hospitality from the owner - in fact great Kiwi hospitality all round. Highly recommend

The only Motel /Hotel that gives me a call on the morning of my visit to advise me which room I am in and contactless booking in. Rooms clean & spacious with everything you need. Very comfortable - thoroughly recommend.Rooms: 5/5

Accommodation was dated but just ok. Room got very hot in peak of summer Jan 2020, but DVS cooling kicked in at around midnight which helped. Wifi was not great in the lounge and second bedroom of the 2 bedroom unit.Rooms: 3/5

Rooms in general are ok. However, we unfortunately encountered a problem caused by their too strict rules. A part of our group could not stay together even we were willing to pay for extra fees. They had to book another hotel on that day of course must pay crazy price. Not only that, the reaction of the manager their was too rude. It spoils the image of this beautiful Golden Bay tow .
