Story

At the heart of the matter - all matter - is energy.

At Goldbeard Guitars we follow energy feverishly. From the very first kinetic thud of a knuckle against rough plank, through to the final light tap on carefully crafted tone wood. We chisel, scrape and sand until we have built a mechanical device that can take your potential energy and change it’s very form - a guitar.

We see energy acutely. The way light is absorbed and reflected matters to us. At Goldbeard we believe in the simple and elegant, but we also believe in giving our customers the chance to experience the design process for themselves. In short, we make custom mechanical devices to the design options you choose.

Your energy matters to us - we spend our time making sure little of it is lost, much of it is transferred, and all of it is channelled to create a sound that is unique to you.

We put just as much energy into our customers... whether they are having a guitar repaired, learning to make one for themselves or buying a guitar, we stay in touch and insist on making adjustments to the guitar within its first year to ensure that no energy is lost.
