Food is really spicy but you can definitely ask them for less or no spice on the skewers. Noting that, they still gave us skewers with spice and it was hot. We complained and they quickly replaced it with no spice at all. It could have been avoided as we obviously noted it down.nnPrice wise it’s definitely affordable. I suggest grabbing the bucket of rice to share rather than having individual ones - saves you a lot.nnWe ordered the army stew and it was loaded! It was $48 but you could feed a group of people easily with that. We also ordered the condensed milk buns and that was so nice - it helps balancing all the strong and hot flavours if you need a break from it. Lol.nnIt gets busy so we tried calling to reserve a table, but only being 3 of us we weren’t able to book - you have to be a big group so they can save you a table, otherwise you’ll just have to walk in.nnThis is my third time here and I come all the way from south auckland just to eat here. The service is a hit or a miss, I guess it just depends on the day. So don’t have high expectations. Not really a great first date idea too.
I came to for dinner and the big plate chicken with handmade noodles was incredible – flavourful, tender, and super satisfying.nAll the skewers and side dishes were delicious too. The portion is huge and perfect for sharing with friends.nGreat place for a casual dinner, we will definitely come back! Highly recommend!
Food taste nicer compared to couple months ago. They even have live music on the stage every Sunday night. Most servers are not fluent in English but they try to understand what we want. Their cucumber salad goes well with all different types of dishes, highly recommend!
As first timers into this business, I found it quite uncomfortable knowing what we needed to do. We had to often ask service people what to do, and they did help, but I think they need to ask customers if they have been there before so that customers can ask questions... not just assume they know what they are doing. The place sort of works like a YumCha, you order lots of bits and pieces to make up a meal, or you order full sizing. Quite reasonable pricing... $1.80 a kebab, $14-20 for meals... Cost $95 to feed both my Husband and I. Also... only come here if you like Cumin... everything is flavoured with Cumin
I have probably been here 20+ times from the past 4 years and they keep getting better!nnThe atmosphere feels like you are in china, its lively, smells amazing and the food is outstanding. If you are a fan of charcoal bbq this is the place for you!!nnThey have the best chicken feet, hand made noodles and charcoal bbq oysters I have had!nnPS: they only take bookings for a table of 7 and up. Might be a queue on the weekends too but its worth it. Dont forget to have Tsingato with your skewers!
