Beautiful, majestic, amazing Such beautiful views, water was beautiful and calm, although a bit dirty near the rocks and in the shallow area it is pretty clear to see the fishes, lots of snappers further in. Snorkel hire was available nearby, bathroom was nice and clean and rubbish bin was so large could fit in a lot. Went on New Year’s Day so was very busy with car parks but there lots of room on the side of the road. Not much shade so will need some shelter.
Amazing place for snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, walking, and chilling. Unforgettable experience!! It is better to bring you own Kayak but there kayaks see pics for rent per hour. Also you can rent snorkeling gears. You will see lots of beautiful fish, grayfish
Goat Island Marine Reserve in Leigh, is a lovely spot to visit. During the summer, it's very popular for beach goers and avid scuba divers and snorkelers. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a drive just outside of Auckland, I can highly recommend Goat Island.
Perfect little getaway for the day with the family. Fantastic for snorkeling far out or even close to the shore. Little added extra is a Kiwi Guardians Aventure post to be discovered.
Always packed with visitors. Good place to do if you love snorkeling I guess. sight seeing some underwater fish through see through boat ride with a fee and now you can hire see through kayaks too.
Such a magical spot with wildlife ; great spot for a swim! Strong currents on right side of island - watch out. Please leave the place cleaner then you found it - let's preserve this sanctuary! Toilets and showers are available, also garbage and recycling cans.
Omg this place was stunningly beautiful we went yesterday and when I say the water is to die for, I really mean the water is to die for.. crystal clear water, swim amongst the fish , no fishing of course. It's a marine reserve ... I took a swim around goat island and the things I saw and that's without scuba gears people..
Gorgeous snorkeling location. The visibility is high on good day, with lots of marine life to see. Saw sting rays in all my visits here.
You need to go at low tide to see the fish but it's worth it at anytime walk up to the lookout if the tide is high. Great views
Nice place ,clean and lots of fishies. Not for small children tho,the waves are pretty strong. Beautiful rocks,polished glass and pearly shells
