Story

Founded by Patric and Rosalie Carey when they extended the living room of their house in London Street into an auditorium, converting it into a small, 30 seat theatre which they called The Globe.
We are now a 70 seat theater putting on an eclectic mix of new and old, new Zealand and foreign plays for your viewing pleasure.

Cosy place where drama plays are done. Set in a home of dedicated theatre actors. Atmosphere is great. Watching actors perform plays is a great experience. Will go again.

The Globe Theater is a real Dunedin treasure, it puts on challenging and thought provoking plays in a charming and historically significant venue. The effort and money that had gone into maintenance and upgrading the Globe Theatre provides a wonderful experience.
