This is probably one of the top two night markets in Auckland. There are loads of stalls which give a fantastic variety of food, all at low prices. Seats are hard to come by, but if you wait long enough and look carefully enough, you'll find one eventually. Even though I don't live on the shore, I still make the trip up occasionally as it's great value for money, great food and a fun atmosphere.
I think this has been the largest, routine night market I've seen in NZ so far. At least 20-30 street food tents along with 10 or so product and games tents, and all on the lower floor of a parking garage. It's extremely crowded and really hard to find seating at one of the available tables unless you hunt for them akin to finding a parking space. You'll likely park upstairs and take the escalator down through the closed mall, stop to get cash from the ATMs, then continue into the market. Few port-a-loos available down here. But all in all, so much variety!
Good mostly asian street food but not much else to do
A good spot to try different asian foods. Good atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Food quite affordable. Easy to eat loads.
It's like Taipei shilin night market. You can taste many kinds of food.
Generally a good selection of mostly Asian food Chinese, Korean & Japanese with a smattering of other cuisines and desserts thrown in. Also lots of market stalls selling fruit and veg, as well as bog standard market tat. Gets pretty crowded, but there's so many stalls that it doesn't take long to get fed. Definitely one of the better night markets in town.
We often come here for steam pudding and custard from mama's dessert and lamb kebabs 10 for $10 our favourites, I would get fresh waffles with chocolate, banana and ice cream Absolutely yum. They have a variety of food and cheap pricing. I also would get a screen protector for $8 if I didn't want to pay top dollar for one. Does the same job, also would get my nails done for a special occasion. I recommend you check it out. They have seating and tables placed around an live entertainment
Probably the best of the Auckland night markets, high ceilings in the carpark means less cooking smoke. Excellent selection of stalls with lots of food recommend the Korean chicken and French crepes in particular. Good Korean socks too!
It's good for sweets. Too much of the same foods there; the South African cuisine is probs the best place to eat a part from dessert queens cheesecakes to die for.
Great night market with tons of fun street food options. A bit difficult to find, especially if you're taking public transportation, but well worth the effort. The other crafts and goods being sold aren't that interesting. It can be quite crowded. But it's a fun market to explore.
