It’s a new season at Glenavon School.
We are a small but growing, multicultural school in Blockhouse Bay with big dreams. Our aim is for every child to reach their full potential and we have a proud record of high achievers. We acknowledge that success comes from a strong link between home and school and we work hard to maintain our strong community partnerships.
Our focus is strongly on student achievement; not just in reading, writing and maths, but in all areas of the curriculum.
We are a Year 1 – 8 school with a Community Hub, an Early Childhood and Te Ara Hou unit attached, and have a unique community atmosphere. Senior students are actively encouraged to be leaders in their school and community.
Our teachers are creative and have high expectations of themselves and their students. We strive to create meaningful and engaging contexts for our students so that they develop a love for learning.
