Super popular. Donuts are good 3.5-4/5.nStaff got pretty annoyed when I read out Jam Nutella and Caramel, they should just make 3 different cards because it sounds like a multi flavour donut.
The hot chicken with cranberry pie was absolutely delicious, especially on a cold morning. Flat white and latte were good too. Cosy atmosphere.
Okay, I do like this place. Bree is a friendly person. The food tastes good. There is no argument there. But the prices are ridiculous. I’ve been going here since it opened. And the prices are just sneaking higher and higher. You can’t tell me 2 Mince pies, a sausage roll a chicken roll soggy from the day before and 2 drinks is worth $38+. I could go out for dinner for that much! Gone are the days where this place is for the local lyttelton worker or resident. It seems more aimed towards the tourists and Christchurch folk visiting the market. Really is a shame. I won’t be going back until I no longer need to pay close to $8 for a mince and cheese pie.
Love them! Best donuts in the South Island. Pies are amazing too! Highly recommend. Pricing is not to bad. Definitely check it out if your in the area.
Now that they’re back open on Sundays I’ll definitely be going back more often. Pies are as good as always and donuts are delicious as well. We went in yesterday and there was a lovely girl who was having her first day there and I just wanted to leave a review to say she was doing great under the pressure of how busy it was getting. I didn’t catch her name but she was doing a great job and I wanted to make sure she get that recognition i understand the struggles of customer service and how impatient some people can get without knowing the full circumstances, so keep doing what you’re doing because you were great!!
