Love coming to Ginger Bird, everytime I’m back in New Zealand. My favourite is the cheese rolls… Alice & Ashley provide an amazing service, loveliest girls! I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Wish I could come here more and more. Secret oasis.
Cute little gem that we stumbled across while going elsewhere. Really tasty, well presented food, service with a smile and a chat from the young lady that served us. We happened to be there on a Wednesday and noticed they do Gold Card discount which was a bonus! We ate inside but there’s a nice outside area available.

We dropped in for a quick coffee while out for a cycle. Great spot to stop at Colyton, an easy ride from Palmy Feilding or Ashhurst. Has ample car parks and cycle parks. My hot chocolate was great and the lads had no complaints about there coffees. Sat outside in the sun. Was a wonderful break on a quiet cycle ride.nWe've made The Ginger Bird our regular. Even when it does get busy the service is fantastic. Managed to get a spot in the sun again today. Lots of cyclists and families enjoying a break, a bite to eat and a hot beverage. Top marks ginger birders.
Ultra cool in Colyton. At face value it's a couple of shipping containers lined with plywood and set together next to a big wooden deck to make a cafe. In practice it's much more than that.nThe coffee was nice, and it was served with a chewy caramel on the side.nThe cabinet food looked nice, but it did not try any of it. It's a good place to stop for a break.
