Perfect spot for a pub and food! Great beers on tap. Vibe of outdoor setting was relaxing and adequate for crowd. Pizzas were really good. Only gave 4 stars because our server forgot to put in our food order, so what should have been a 45 min stop turned into and hour and a half. Long day on a bicycle got longer. But, they had great beer!!
Gibbston Tavern is a fantastic place to visit when in the area. We visited on a cold afternoon, tavern was very cosy with the hot fire very appreciated! Service was friendly and attentive, with a lot of care taken. We didn’t order food this time, but will be back for the amazing looking pizza. Beer was great and loved the mulled wine, owner was kind enough to gift us a bottle to take with us Outdoor area is great, would be lovely in summer, with lots of seats and games to play. And Hank, the resident dog, loved having his company, definitely a character! We definitely recommend and will return when back in the Gibbston Valley. Thanks for your hospitality
Stopped here as we were riding our e-bikes. The staff were great , very helpful and friendly. We had the pizza and it was very tasty as well as the polenta chips. The kids had some nice games to play with and that meant we could relax and enjoy out time there.
An absolutely delightful joint tucked away by the side of Gibbston Hwy, offering awesome grub, yummy beers, great service, chillax ambience and a friendly resident doggo who ensures you’re properly hosted. And those mighty buffalo wings, smoked and spiced to perfection, are ones to die for! Tu meke!
Epic place and a great destination from cycling to from Arrowtown. Staff superb! Food delicious. Great selection of wine, music.
1 pizza 1 salad 3 wine glasses 112nzd, a bit up there but service was great, setting is beautiful and the bike path from Arrowtown to the winery/ tavern is great!
The perfect spot for pub food after a day bike riding. There’s also a tasting room on property with unique drinks. Vegetarian options: A number of vegetarian and vegan options were featured on the menu.
Great stop for lunch, great servers and food came quickly and delicious. Some games to play nearby and the dog "hank" lopes around the place so be sure to find him
Great food. The pizza margherita and the loaded potato wedges were excellent.
Beautiful tavern. Lot of outdoor seating, friendly staff, and great pizzas.
