We stayed one night at the Geraldine Top 10 Holiday Park in February 2026 and were met with a lovely, friendly welcome on arrival. The park is well laid out and maintained, offering everything you’d expect from a Top 10 site. The communal kitchen is excellent—large, spotless, and equipped with plenty of microwaves, air fryers, sinks, and washing‑up facilities. There’s even a handy hot water geyser providing instant boiling water for tea or coffee.nA separate TV lounge was a real bonus on a chilly, wet evening, providing a comfortable place to relax indoors. The shower and toilet blocks were very clean, with strong water pressure and consistently hot water—another big tick. The Wi‑Fi connection was available but could be stronger in some areas; however, that was only a minor issue compared to the overall comfort and convenience of the stay.nGeraldine itself is a charming little town, perfect for a stroll with plenty of cafes and shops nearby. Overall, this holiday park delivers the friendliness, cleanliness, and quality facilities the Top 10 brand is known for. We’d happily recommend the Geraldine Top 10 to anyone passing through or planning a short stay.
Very friendly check in staff Sally, and park looked very well presented upon arrival. Nice & shady, and grassed powered sites. Great outdoor dining area with 2 large gas bbq's and a gas pizza oven nMain kitchen block was well equipped with washing machines, ovens, toasters, air fryers, instant hot water, whilst toilet block was nice sized with spacious toilet-shower rooms and good hot water showers
We stayed in a Queen bed Motel Cabin and everything was perfect. The room was tidy and nicely decorated. There was even a personal welcome note on the table. Highly recommended with friendly reception and a great location.
It's all the small details that make the difference. Honestly, the best campsite we've stayed at in New Zealand and absolutely the best showers. Everything was spotlessly clean and we wanted for nothing. Five stars every day of the week.
False advertising, Misleading room titles, hidden shared bathrooms, and unfair refusal to refundnnThe room listings for this property are misleading and confusing. On the landing page, only one room is clearly labelled as “with shared bathroom”, which strongly implies the other room types have private bathrooms. This is not true. Several other room types also use shared bathrooms, but this crucial information is buried in the fine print instead of being clearly stated in the room title.nnI only discovered there was no private bathroom after arriving. When I raised this at the front desk, the owner immediately understood the issue but insisted that “it’s written in the details” and blamed me for not reading everything carefully. I found this response dismissive and unpleasant.nnThe room titles appear deliberately worded to make less desirable rooms seem more appealing, while essential information such as shared bathrooms is hidden in the details. A bathroom arrangement is a basic expectation and should be stated clearly and upfront on the main listing, not left for guests to discover after check-in.nnWhen I requested a refund due to the misleading listing, the owner refused, claiming the booking was “non-refundable”. This felt unreasonable and unfair, as the issue was caused by false or incomplete advertising, not a change of mind on my part. By hiding critical information until after payment, guests are effectively placed in a situation where they cannot make an informed decision and are then denied any remedy once the issue is discovered.nnI’m leaving this review as a warning to other travellers:n Do not assume a room has a private bathroom unless it is explicitly stated in the room title, and be aware that refunds may be refused even when the listing is misleading.nnDue to the misleading information and the way the situation was handled, I would not recommend staying here.
