Used to love it but now - I have no idea what’s happened to the food and service - it’s horrendous. Last time I went had to send the Dover sole back because it was covered in so much red blood my table thought it was some sort of sauce. My main meal replacement came 25 minutes after everyone else finished. Starters came out 45 mins after each other. Drinks came wrong. Can tell Birley group has become about the business and profit and no longer the intimate and personalised service - this is a shamble of a club and we won’t be renewing.

It's a private club but they do a great job cooking for members and guests!

Was invited for an evening at George and had a great time! The food & drink were wonderful and the atmosphere in the basement with the DJ was fun.

The food is always good, the service friendly and efficient: and this time I was impressed that the gatekeeper remembered me by name as it had been a while since I was last there and we turned up without a reservation. We ordered main courses, skipping starters; my guest a veal Milanese with the bone attached as it should be and I ordered a steak tartar because in my opinion it is one of the best in London. We shared a half bottle of excellent burgundy wine followed by yogurt sorbet for my guest and blood orange sorbet for me, then coffee. The sorbet were homemade and excellent. I am pleased that we went back and will go again soon.
Excellent private club in the heart of London. Nice ambience, with two dining rooms and an intimate bar downstairs for after dinner drinks. Have attended twice for private functions, and the staff have been very welcoming.
