Excellent food choice at a reasonable price. Food was constantly bring refilled so there was always extra choices. Will definitely eat here again.
Didn't have a pleasant time here! The place looked like it hadn't been cleant in a while. Got some of the lamb meat too only to find out it was rancid after tasting it. Spent most of my time in the bathroom after that. Staff were apologetic though which I appreciated, but it really did make for a disappointing evening.
First time ever at Gengy's and it was truly an experience. Although it was very busy, staff were calm and chefs were absolutely amazing! Highly recommended plus must try the pancakes they were divine!
This restaurant in other regions we have been to are so much for cleaner better service and more fresher looking food than rotorua branch. The bowls we put our food in were so badly chipped it would be a health and safety problem. The food was cooked far too long with burnt tasting seafood! Very disappointed as it was quite expensive.Food: 1/5
Gengy’s is a good place to have a buffet in the holiday season. Staff are very friendly, foods are tasty. There are variety meats to choose, enough snacks and ice creams.
Rotoua Gengys: The meat was off theisbwas evident because parts of the meat was grey. There was always something missing when going up to fill your bowl. There was hardly any sauces. They had combinations of sauce mixes to use, but sauces weren't event there. I would've left but I was not my function. I did make the staff aware of the off meat. Someone came and changed it, however he came out with more off meat. Will not recommend this place at all. DISGUSTING!!
Our family enjoyed our dine in experience. Although not much to choose from on the deserts table, the delicious pancakes make up for it. Was good to see a variety of stir fry options. Good service and yummy food.
First time there, didn't really know what to do but thankfully went with others. Grab a bowl and fill with what you need/want and then put it on the bench for the chefs to cook to perfection. Has ice cream, pancake station and jelly/fruit. Service was nice and atmosphere was good, definitely go back again
