Every Friday our Foodbank operates from the New Lynn Community Centre.

12.30pm - Community Lunch is served & application forms are handed out (ID and proof of address required)

1pm - Parcels are distributed

Story

Everybody needs a hand sometimes.

The Generation Ignite Food Bank is an initiative that was birthed out of the need we recognised with our at-risk youth and their families in the Whau Community (Avondale, New Lynn, Kelston, Green Bay, New Windsor and Blockhouse Bay).

With the help of our volunteers, every Friday morning our food parcels are packed and then distributed from the New Lynn Community Centre from 1pm - 3pm (or until all the parcels are gone). A free lunch is also available to the community from 12.30pm, which is lovingly put together by our volunteers.

These food parcels contain ingredients and items necessary to make a wholesome nutritious meal for you and/or your family, fresh produce, staple food ingredients and additional donated products such as hygiene products.

[How to receive a food parcel]
If you would like to receive a food parcel we welcome you to visit us at the New Lynn Community Centre on Friday's. Application forms are handed out at 12.30pm (on a first in first served basis) and require one form of ID and proof of address. Parcels will then be given out from 1pm.
