Lovely food, lovely staff. Waffles could have done with slightly more berry and syrup topping. Lots of options on the menu that appealed so we'll definitely be back!
Have been several times..Management not great, food never matches the menu, expensive breakfast for what I got, no take away options which is a shame as by beach, only scones and small cabinet food range. Excellent service most of the time. Better cabinet food with old ownership, miss those amazing scones filled with spinach and cream cheese. Management should never give excuses and rebuttal from complaints should just listen, apologize rectify and ensure customer happy and will return.
We waited 2 hours from When we ordered to get our food, When we did get our food it came out sporadically, only half of us got food, the rest of us had to wait another 15min. One of them was a child who was ravenous by this point. The children's waffles was supposed to have two waffles only got one, the leak and potatoe soup had lumps of flourey potatoes. The big breakfast cold and had more potatoes then anything else. We had asked a couple of times where our food was and got told it wouldn't be long, that was an understatement. We were offered no explanation until we become a little frustrated to say the least. We were told there was lack of stocks in kitchen due to ordering issues, a staff member had walked out and new chefs who got tickets mixed up. Please note though, the wait staff were awesome. We dine out frequently and this has to be the worst experience we have ever had to the point we will not return. For all the poor service and below average food we still had to pay full price, very very disappointed
Good coffee and local food. Have eaten here a few times and the food and location is excellent. The staff are very helpful and forward thinking. As in previous visits the latte and cheese scone was great Kid-friendliness: Great outside areas and playground across the road Parking: Lots of free car asking close by
We attended the Imagination Gin tasting evening. The atmosphere was great and it was a beautiful evening for it. Sitting out in the grass area out the back with some live jazz playing it was hard to beat. Imagination Gin and their hospitality team were great but the overall service was confused and slow. We often had servers bring us orders from other tables and our orders took a long time to arrive. The food menu was a bit sparse on excitement. For such a cool event it would be have been nice to do an event specific menu or even a simple BBQ. We would have loved some tapas or street food type offerings. They do Bao buns during the day. Some different fillings in those buns would have been great or sliders or even tacos would have gone down a treat. Overall we did enjoy it but it could have been really spectacular. All the base ingredients were there. Perfect weather, wonderful setting and some tasty, tasty Gin. Next time I reckon this could be so much better. We look forward to the find out at the next one.
The salt and pepper calamari was phenomenal. So tender and cooked beautifully, and the combination of the sweetness and sourness of the pineapple and other dressings were amazing. Honestly one of the nicest meals I’ve had in a while, and very reasonably priced with a generous portion. Thanks for a great experience.
Lovely restaurant, can eat inside or out. Great food, excellent service. We were there Labour weekend, so was very busy but the staff were great and so onto it! Highly recommend.
I visited The Front Room on a trip up north to visit family. We decided to go for dinner and we’re not disappointed by the lovely service, the menu and the atmosphere. The food was delightful and would highly recommend a visit from anyone looking for a great meal with great service.
Just bought two takeaway coffees. $16 Is that the norm now or rather over priced ??? Coffee was a little underwhelming and weak. Just as well they use dark horse coffee as that saved the day Service was reasonable considering they were busy.
Staff took an age to take our orders and even longer for the food arrive. Portions were very small and semi cold. Quite pricey too. The beer was also luke warm. Other than that, great vibe outside on a nice day. Coffee was good.
