Library closed today. Great site to enjoy 'outside time', whether park-like seating, walk/s or complementary wifi. Only about 30m to good, clean public toilet facilities.
Wonderful librarian: most courteous polite and helpful
Wifi is accessible from outside even when the library is not open. Highly recommended to tour the gardens and read the information signs while you download podcasts or shows as the history is fascinating!
Always good to be here... all public libraries across NZ with free wifi.
Cute little library!
I was visiting Paihia and needed to plug my computer and work for an hour. My hotel check-in was not available yet. I went to the Public Library and very kindly asked the front desk woman if I could please use the facilities while my computer charged. Not only she did not allow me to go in but she treated me like I was some kind of criminal. I've been in many public libraries before and I was always allowed to connect my computer and stay as long as I needed. I'm very disappointed with this place.
kia ora was in Paihia this week and came across the local community library. I found the librarian very friendly and helpful. Instructions about use of their computers are very clear and allows equal access to everyone. For those wanting to use their own laptops they can do so just outside the library in lovely surroundings and still have access to free wifi. It is not a big library but is very user friendly.
Small library in historic building, free WiFi available during library open hours.
They need an update style, no plugs provide even to work on your laptop. The place was empty. Lady at the front desk no really helpful
