A lovely place to go for breakfast, staff were nothing short of exceptional and the look and feel of the place was great. The only reason i couldn't give a 5 star was because it would have been nice to see some nice farmhouse sausages instead of what came out. I think more and more people are looking at the ingredients of the foods and they want quality and traceability.
Fantastic experience, lovely atmosphere and let our pup join us as they have specific seating for dogs. Only let down is not a large gluten free menu but will defiantly visit again.
Lovely place, been many times before, great food at reasonable prices. Vegetarian options: There are options for vegetarian meals which is always a plus.
Whilst out perusing Doolittle's pet store, a few of us opted to take a lunch break in this rather popular nearby eatery. The system was simple .... The menu concise. Once ordered, the food didn't take all that long to arrive at our table, & impressively the plated meals were all piping hot! I'd settled for the homemade "Pie Of The Day" a delicious Steak & Stilton, & I have to announce it was SUPERB! All other members of our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals too. Be sure to sample the milkshakes!
Had a few breakfasts here and always been good quality and tasty.Food: 5/5
Really friendly staff, welcoming as soon as we entered. Plenty of seating, clean tables & good varied menu with plenty of choice. Would definitely return and recommend. 5 from us... Food: 5/5
A lovely place but no vegan cake or biscuits. Staff couldn’t veganise mushrooms on toast for us, nor was there any margarine to have plain toast with. Plant milks galore for coffee though, which was lovely. Please increase your plant based treats and we’ll be back :
I've only recently discovered this lovely place and I'm so glad I did. Welcoming, cosy and warm especially on a raw winter's day. Decent menu, simple food well presented. Recommended.Food: 4/5
This one has taken some deliberation. I have wanted to try it for so etime and so took my sister for breakfast. It started well directed to any table. Then went searching for a menu. Once found I choose a traditional breakfast 895 plus tea. And my sister wanted a traditional veg 950 plus tea. I returned to the counter to place my order. The lady there was pleasant but forthright. I gave her my order first and she said would you like the large it's o special. I said no thankyou don't thi k I could manage it. She thrust her arm at the specials board and said its on special and repeated it. I understand up selling but this was almost pressure selling. So as to move on I agreed. As my eyes can be bigger than my belly. I then ordered my sister but knowing her diet insisted before another arm was thrust at the board that the normal one would be fine. Then I ordered the teas. Then came time to pay. And I realised why the upselling. On the pay machine in front of me was my choice of forced gratuity starting at 5 percent. I was told later that in the bottom corner it says skip. So look for that. My total bill came to over 30 pounds. I accepted it and walked away. Ten mins later we realised we had not had the teas. I returned to the counter to bewildered looks and was curtly informed that they would reprint and send them over a few mins later, still waiting for the teas our breakfasts turned up. But with a small traditional for my veggie sister. So that had to be removed meaning no tea and me having to start because mine was already not the warmest. The sauages and bacon was nice. The toast came out pre buttered. Not even asked. The eggs, fried, were over cooked. And the hash brown was obviously a frozen small one as you would get in a supermarket. The beans were dry. And the black pudding was less a Medallion and more a wedge. The teas then turned up before my sisters breakfast and we set about it all. I had to search for sweetners. As all this was going on all I could think of was the forced gratuity. For service. Wow. I'm sorry but there needs to be some training or large revamp. And that pos system is a joke. This one I will deffo be voting with my feet with and will not return for a while or until I know someone who has been there and they tell me different. My food was stone cold by the time I was half way through it. Vegetarian options: Be careful they get your order right
Visited today unplanned and was busy as lunchtime. Made to feel very welcome - by woman dressed in all black with blonde Bob cut, and although had to wait a short time we were accommodated and kept up to date on wait times. Two adults and 4 year old. Happy with food choices vegetarian. Longer wait than expected due to have a young child - and had to remind of our wait time but food was very tasty and we were apologised to by same women who greeted us. All forgiven by delicious cakes on way out and customer service! Will be visiting again! Thank you ! Everyone was working hard which was pleasing to see!
