Story

Our vision is to provide a relaxed environment, which allows children the room to be creative and expressive without the pressure of exams. We teach the core ballet principles and promote grace, beauty and self control but compliment this with an element of make believe by having a "Fairy Closet" where we keep streamers, scarves, tutus, tiaras, hoops, balls, a parachute and other dance props. These are a very important part of our curriculum! We believe that children can learn best in a positive, happy, creative environment. We want every class to leave each child feeling valuable, beautiful and satisfied knowing they worked hard and did their best.

We offer some unique classes that are completely new to the dance world in New Plymouth. Our Dancing Diva classes are focused on having fun using dance props, tutus, ribbons, tiaras and visiting the "Fairy Closet" with Miss Melody using imagination and creativity.

Our Adult Fitness classes are unique & work your body from head to toe. 1-1 time with our trainers and instructors guide & offer helpful feedback with form, etc to help you reach your fitness goals. Check out our web page for more details on our Barre classes.

We believe that dance promotes self confidence, patience, hard work, endurance, physical fitness, artistic expression, respect and the ability to accept criticism gracefully. We are honored that you have chosen Freedom Dance as a place for your child to grow! Casual visits are always welcome and are $15 for both the kids and adult classes.
