Very nice free camp spot, the adjacent beach is really beautiful and a few steps away there is also a great trekking to do, which gives a dazzling view of the surrounding islands and beaches. A breathtaking view. The toilets are very clean and close to the camp. As a little extra, there is a shower with fresh water no hot water‼ nearby towards the beach, barely 1 minute from the camp.
Freedom camping for self contained vehicles only for a maximum of 2 nights. Clean toilets, paid laundry services, few mins walk to the beach and quick drive to Tairua Town centre. You have to leave by 9am. Parking is limited so arrive early. Great stop over on the way to Whitiaga. Highly recommended.

Great freedom camp spot with toilets. Make sure to stay in the last 8 bays as someone checks in the morning to see if you’re in the right place. There is also a cold shower by the surf life save club which came in useful after a sea dip.
Great spot in nice area with public toilets so close. There was a bit more traffic passing than I expected some car drove by beeping their horn a couple times for no particular reason.nNice cafes a short drive away.nThere weren’t toooo many spots 5 from memory
