This is a must!! Do not drive past without taking a helicopter ride over the glaciers. We were flown to the top and then landed on the snow and spent an amazing time taking photos and snow-fights with each other. The pilot and team were very friendly and shared some interesting facts about the Glaciers.
Awesome service, great pilot. Showed us all the little secrets of the main divide. Our two toddlers had an experience of a lifetime. Thanks guys!
Yes this is a weather dependent activity. We planned for this and as a result had a fantastic experience on our second day. We had planned to fly from Franz Josef but due to weather we ended up flying from Fox Glacier town the next day. A once in a lifetime experience and we were absolutely stoked.
