Pretty good Asian food for NZ standards. Restaurant was very big. We got there was service seemed a bit busy with only 1 person serving about 4 tables and the phone. Food was good though, we had the Chicken fried rice, Beef stir-fry and dumplings. Only the steam dumplings were not great, not much meat and overly thick skin. But the other dishes were fantastic.nnTheir desserts looked incredible too, but sadly we did not have the time for it.
The food and service at this restaurant are absolutely fantastic! From the moment you walk in, you feel a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive. Every dish is carefully prepared with fresh ingredients, delivering outstanding flavors that strike the perfect balance between creativity and classic tastes. Whether for a gathering with friends or a family meal, this place is the perfect choice. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves great food. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Disappointing today and it may have been because it was very busy. Tofu dish was very 2nd hand, suggest it was made earlier and reheated as it came out of the kitchen pretty quickly, dry and puffy, not their best attempt. Passed on feedback to helpful wait staff. Our normal go to but will give it a swerve for a bit, see if they can redeem themselves. Why pay for something that you can do so easily at home?
Rare Asian Cuisine offers some unique and tasty dishes. It was very crowded on a Friday night, so expect a wait. The food was above average in taste but the portions were small and a bit pricey. I wouldn’t recommend the bubble tea unless you really miss it.
Travelled here because of the good reviews we’d heard. Really well done menu with a real range of options!nThe service was excellent and we had our meals brought to us under 10 minutes of ordering them.nThe “dessert menu” was a short presentation given by the waitress showing photos on an iPad with a description of each one, so personal!nWith the service and the well presented meals, we had expected a higher bill at the end but we were pleasantly surprised, highly recommend this restaurant.
