I stayed here for one night with some friends on our way through Arthur's Pass, I was absolutely blown away by the beautiful lodge, the stunning views of the mountains and the kindness and hospitality of our host. I will definitely be staying here again!!Rooms: 5/5

Such an awesome weekend away amongst the mountains and alpine beach forest. Friendly accommodating host's. Looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend a visit
Gorgeous setting in native beech forest with fabulous views of the mountains. This lodge belongs to the Canterbury winter sports club and is really well set up and supplied. Out of ski season it's a great retreat centre for no frills getting away from it all. A diesel generator keeps the lights and heating on, gas takes care of the cooker and hot water and a wood stove heats the dining room cum lounge. 6km of gravel road in pretty good shape. Surprisingly comfy bunks with good pillows. BYO linen. Feel the serenity when you turn the gen-set off.
Stayed here in 1997, and it hasn't changed a bit, and i hope it never does. As it's still just perfect. Staff and forest the lab were awesome and very social brunch staying too. Will certainly be back, as it was this place that sealed the deal to join cheeseman all club next year.
Great views and accommodation. A large log burner and diesel generator keep the power on and the lodge warm. There's a full commercial kitchen available for use.
Great budget accomodation for Cheeseman ski field. Dorm style rooms with 4-6 bunks each. Pillows and blankets are available in each room. Beds are surprisingly comfortable. Fully stocked kitchen and lots of room to relax in the warm common room. They also have a ice rink and some skates to use free of charge.
Stayed there for Valley Ultra. Surroundings are amazing. Really nice, simple lodge. Would I stay again? Yes, would love to stay in Winter one day, so.
Absolutely loved my stay here Sam and Jimmy' are excellent hosts and what a perfect place to watch the night sky followed by watching the sun come up priceless! And forest the pup is the cherry on top thanks guys for my experience look forward to staying next time xoxo
