We loved this walk which was quite close to our campsite. There are a variety of sculptures and each are detailed beautifully. The track is well maintained and would easily accommodate a pram or stroller. It was a drizzly morning when we walked the track which was quite lovely under the beautiful tree canopy. Thank you Andrew Lyons for these stunning creations
This is a great little amble through the forest. Well signed posted and info boards. There are seats and a picnic table around the trail. The wooden sculptures are well designed. Also a hidden Easter egg rock, some fairy type made huts. A very smart way to enhance the beauty of the forest with well thought out sculptures. Some lights for night walk if aesthetically pleasing would make this a great evening activity as well. Wheelchairs should be ok in dry weather.Mostly the track is in shade but their is a bit of open area to get to the dog and lizard. Looks like berry bushes also
Beautiful forest walk, I always imagined a forest to look like this. Easy, kids would love it.
Came across this delightful walk by chance as we wandered in the woodlands behind Hanmer Springs. The sculptures are strategically placed in the trees or on them & were evidently made from a redwood tree removed from the Hanmer thermal springs pool & spa. It's a 30 minute stroll through the forest & great for the kids & big kids too!!
A beautiful forest walk that's pram friendly and good one for the family of young ones. There are multiple sculptures along the walk which takes about 30 to 40 minutes. A refreshing walk. Better to do this walk in the morning or afternoon and avoid doing it late in the evening as forest can quickly get dark.
