The restaurant is in the middle of beautiful gardens, just an absolutely lovely setting and gorgeous ambiance. We went with a large group of people and most of us were satisfied with our dishes. I ordered the fish with scallop and edamame risotto and it was absolutely worth it! Diane was very attentive and kind to us!
Came here for lunch and we had Tankatsu, lobster bique and wood ear fungi everything was good but the portions were bit small and the tortellini were too salty and we could taste the flour dough. The whole vibe of the resturant was really great highly recommended for drinks.
Had the loveliest evening here. The food was simply elegant and totally delicious. No fuss and frills, just great ingredients prepared with love and attention to detail. Great for sharing or eating solo. The Paperbag Chicken was succulent. The oyster fungi tempura was delicately flavoured. I suspect anything off this menu will be perfect. And I haven’t even started to wax lyrical about the sun tropical surroundings. Try it, you won’t be disappointed. Vegetarian options: Yes Parking: Plenty
Strange meal plan. Partner got the steak, which was beautiful but no sides on plate, just steak. I got venison, was not informed nor did it mention on menu that it comes on sizzling stones. Apparently meals are to be 'shared' when really we would just like our own and not have to buy a bunch of sides ontop of the pricey but delicious serving of meat. Hard to share also when we have a vegan in the group who's main meal consisted of a bowl of mushrooms and a bowl of zucchini and kale which would've been perfect accompaniments to our meat dishes.
A-A-Amaaazing food! We have just finished dinner and everything was excellent. We ordered the olives, mussels and sashimi for entrees and fresh fish for main. Seafood was cooked perfectly!! Service was . Lovely scenic ambiance. Will be back.
One of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at! Food was exceptional my favourite was the mussels and chorizo starter. Drinks were fab…… I never leave reviews but me and my partner loved it a bit pricier but worth it
Stunning. Beautiful flavours, quality dishes, excellent service with a divine atmosphere. Loved it! Will certainly be back. Thank you for a memorable birthday dinner
Just visited Maha at the start of our honeymoon - what a way to begin! They were super accommodating when we turned up an hour late due to bad traffic. The Hong Kong paper bag chicken was to die for, and the chips are a must! Great wine selection too. The photos on the website and reviews don’t do it justice - a truly stunning location. A special slice of paradise in Kerikeri Parking: Parking on site and easy to find. Dietary restrictions: Really attentive and felt very safe eating there with a peanut allergy.
Tucked away in a tropical forest which has always been a fav location. How ever food is incredibly over priced with very small serving size. We spent a lot of money only to leave hungry. Ended up getting take out from another restaurant after spending a small fortune here. Bowl of fries was around around 10 in a bowl for more than double the price of what is considered normal in kerikeri.. Expensive fish meal had a sliver of fish for around the $40 price tag which was the size of an appetiser. I am happy to spend good money at a restaurant and am used to going out for fine dining but never have I ever had to go buy more food after eating out! If your with a group and want to share a bunch of small platters then this would be a good little spot if you want to splurge. Maybe for a night out with drinks it would be nicer. If you have kids you may find it hard finding food for them on the menu. I used to love this restaurant, the staff are always nice , but price point is a bit off for what you get.
We dined here tonight and have to say the food was really disappointing. The staff are great and the location is lovely but sadly, that is where it ended. We waited over an hour for our mains to come out and it was barely warm when it arrived. We ordered the fusion platter containing pork belly, fried chicken, seafood salad and some vegetables. The pork belly was hard but not crispy, although the flavour was ok, it was all from the sauce rather than the meat itself. The fried chicken had a dirty oil taste and was dry. The seafood salad was ok - nothing special. The mash potatoes tasted strongly of mayonnaise and was far too lumpy. The vegetables were bland. Overall, for $99, this was a very disappointing experience and we will not be returning. We were not asked how the food was at any point and no apology for the delay despite paying $146 :
