The service is not too great, waiters are not very attentive and was just playing on his phone but the food is the redeeming quality. Burgers are great and full on flavor, I'd say above average even among the gourmet burger joints but you really pay for it, being up to $23 for a burger. The nachos are not worth it at all, very dry and lack of ingredients, about two thirds were just corn chips. The monster burger combo is something special but you really can't eat it as a burger.
A very cool burger bar. A little on the pricey side, but the quality is definitely worth it. The shakes are pretty insane and over the top for sure! The Fokker burger with cheese is a perfect example of what a standard cheese burger should be. Definitely recommend!
Friendly staff, great atmosphere, tasty food, great milkshakes! Great drinks menu. Frenchie burger was very filling, but the donut bun's sugary glaze was unbearably sweet. Will be back to try the hotdogs, they look amazing. Highly recommend the loaded fries!
Still a few kinks to work out. Burger came out missing half the ingredients. The staff however got it sorted straightaway. Good service and the food was all really really tasty. Would recommend and return.
Great burgers. The beef patty cooked at medium was juicy and tasty. Service from the waitress was good. Thick cut fries that are beer battered.
Great burgers, I tried the Fokker Cheese burger which was great and the Funky Chicken burger. The chicken in the burger was a bit dry so wouldn't get that burger again. The Sweet Potato fries were amazing. Will definitely go back to this place.
Definitely worth the trip into the city centre. The burgers were delicious. Make sure to go for the combo as the fries were just as good. About the freakshakes...have one to share as they are good but way too sweet for one person to eat.
Soo I read all the reviews and I wish I had trusted all the bad ones I read. it really was not that nice the staff weren’t very pleasent and expected a tip after being so rude. The food was brought out quickly which was nice. And the chips are good but funky chicken I’m sure is made of funky chicken wasn’t too good. And the philly cheese steak is a burger not “philly cheese steak” which comes with chips but the other burgers do not? Quite over priced for what is it the freaks shakes tasted good but really looked like a milkshake with whip cream. I was excited to get a specific cocktail from there I’d seen advertised there online but unfortunately they only have 3 cocktails on there menu. I just wouldn’t recommend over all a below average place I believe. Thanks for the good 18th guys
"The best burger in Auckland" a motto reasonably well kept. Not that I have tried all the burgers in Auckland but I don't expect the one I had to be the best. I had the Bacon Mac and Cheese Burger because it sounded horrifying. It was in fact reasonable but the Mac was unnecessary- it did not add to flavour or texture, but I was pleased with the 5 cheeses as it added a creamy-ness not found in your typical McDonald's burger. The chips were the cherry on top for me as they were perfectly crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside, much like a tater-tot. Location- good View-average for location Price- good for location Service- neither really here nor there, very casual Food- some really good parts, nothing bad I would visit here again for a casual meal.
Solid 2 stars. Would have been 3 for just disappointing meal and dirty restaurant and strange decor but the high prices for the food drops it down. I get it that they got to pay viaduct rent so they need to charge high, but then I'd expect equivalent quality. The food was very basic, uninspired and bland. The burgers we had we're bland and small, the hotdog was very cheap dogs and tasted like I'd mircowaved them, the cider we ordered was flat and tasted overly fermented and the buffalo wings weren't cut so the wing end counted towards the weight, we're not well sauced and still had feather tips in. The decor is a world mix between a hip viaduct joint and Chucky cheese. Finally it was dirty, all of it was dirty. The seats and tables were dirty, the water glasses and condiment bottles were dirty, the staffs work spaced were dirty and their visible storage was dirty; this all resulted in a lot of flies and ants. Very average, do not pay these prices.
