At FoalEd we believe the life of every mare and foal is precious, and that every owner deserves to feel confident and prepared come foaling time.

Story

FoalEd founder Ashleigh holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Equine Studies) from Massey Univeristy and has nearly ten years foaling experience with over 200 successful foalings to date.

Here at FoalEd (Foaling Education) we aim to provide horse owners and industry workers with the basic knowledge to safely foal down their mares, and give their foals the best start to life.

We provide training sessions for horse owners, breeders, workers and anyone interested in learning about foaling down mares.

The objectives of our seminars are that you are able to:

- Identify early signs of foaling moving towards due date

- Identify and describe the three stages of labour in the mare

- Identify minor issues in foaling and assist/correct where necessary

- Identify major issues which require veterinary intervention

- Understand the post natal care of the mare

- Understand the post natal milestones of the newborn foal
