Makes me wonder why they didn't have a "WH*TES ONLY" sign outside, as it could have spared me from having a very unpleasant experience. The salesperson made a point of blatantly ignoring me even when I was standing right next to her; then saying hello to the white person coming in through the door. The best part? Only two customers in the shop though it looked as if I didn't exist in their eyes. A stellar example of what racial micro-aggression looks like in Aotearoa.
The shop was empty and still the lady behind the counter couldn’t look up from her computer to greet me. I’ve worked in retail before and the first thing you learn is to greet any and all customers that enter your store. This lady looked to be in her 50s or 60s and should know better. I did a lap of the store, browsing, but to be honest when you don’t feel welcome you don’t feel like buying. There are plenty of other shops in Milford I’d rather spend my money.
Fabulous experience shopping and browsing at this eclectic and vibrant store - great staff always friendly and welcoming and helpful - mix of fashion and gifts is fabulous, always sure to surprise and delight! Love the new store!
Had to leave because the sales lady and a customer were being racist towards Maori people and culture
I cant access website or shop now button..just freezes.. I used to love store for ideas and gifts were bought..but staff were pretty much hopeless, and condescending
Customer service is shocking, wouldnt spend my money here if it were the last store on earth due to snooty, arrogant attitudes.
