This place was so amazing we've been three times in two days. The special coffee with coffee ice cream was absolutely delicious and quite possibly the best iced coffee I've ever had. The breakfast foods were great, with a good variety to choose from. The carrot cake was really good, with excellent cream cheese frosting. Definitely deserves 5 stars! Would give it more if I could
Great atmosphere at this coffee shop. My wife and I split the flight of coffee espresso, flat white, and cold drip and all of them were very robust. They use they panama geisha coffee bean which has tons of flavor. We got the bacon butty fried egg and bacon on brioche bun with jam on the side and we both enjoyed it very much. All around great experience with friendly staff and a clean bathroom. Would definitely come back and recommend coming here to try some of their delicious food and coffee! Parking: Street parking is always hard to find in downtown Wellington, unless you arrive super early. We parked in a paid parking lot a few blocks down. Early bird parking for the entire day was $15 if you arrive before 10. Other lots you have to pay ~$30 for the entire day.
I totally loved this place. Probably the best breakfast spot in New Zealand. Try mushroom toast and sparkling cold brew. If you love filtered coffee, this place is definitely “must go”.
If you were a coffee lover, here is the place you must visit in Wellington. We have tried the 'Coffee 3 Way' on the Tasting Flights Menu, and other breaky. All lovely!! Nice service here as well. A short introduction gave us idea what the beans are and why it is expensive. Overall, we have a great time here.Food: 5/5
Good coffee, especially the latte art. The flat white tasting is a must try, if you can. In term of the actual taste of the coffee, it's pretty similar to other cafes around the area. Wellington has a lot of good cafes, after all. The atmosphere of the cafe is really nice and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend to give it a try.
Had breakfast today at the Hangar. Great selection for breakfast especially if your vegan/gluten. It was quiet busy being the only cafe operating but the only problem, it was a little bit pricey. Food I rate 4/5 stars, and price for the portion of food is a 3/5. Customer service 4/5. I feel mean giving this rating, but I have to be honest. Love your work though The Hangar!!
A beautiful dynamic restaurant with amazing breakfast. The food was truly cooked to perfection, the coffee was out of this world, the customer service was world class with staff very accommodating and happy to be flexible, and best of all open on New Year's Day! Highly recommended!
Came here on Easter morning while we were visiting Wellington. It was packed and there was a line out the door but it was worth the wait. Our crew sought this place out in search of their iconic filter coffee flights and they did not disappoint!! We loved how they also included an informational card with each cup to learn about the type, tasting notes, etc…The food was also delicious. We got the pork belly Benedict and mushrooms on toast. Highly recommend The Hanger!
Amazing ambience, great coffee and food and a super plus for being open on New year's day! Highly recommend. The friendly service tops it all. A total gem in central Wellington and only a 10 minute walk from our hotel!
Absolutely love this place. The large coffee size, is actually huge and the latte art is gorgeous. The menu changes seasonally an is always delicious, yet unique.
