An impressive subdivision so close to Lincoln with fantastic 600-800m2 sites - it’s an awesome place for kids and families, packed with amenities.
Lincoln is fast becoming one of the most popular towns within Christchurch’s commuter belt. The Selwyn District Council is predicting the town’s population will almost triple over the next few decades to more than 10,000. Its attractions are its relative proximity to Christchurch, the university and other research institutions clustered to the west of the town and its growing range of community amenities including a supermarket and new community events centre.
To accommodate this growing population, the town’s urban boundary is being expanded to allow new sub-divisions to be built. Flemington is the latest sub-division to be offered to the market.
Enjoy extensive recreation areas in terms of both green space and small lakes. In addition, there will be walking tracks and tennis courts with the whole development likely to be linked to the Christchurch- Little River cycleway which passes next to the development along Birches Road.
Lincoln is a thriving township that is located 20km south of Christchurch. Lincoln has a permanent population of around 2,700 but this swells to over 7,000 during university term time.
The township has numerous facilities available including a New World supermarket, a number of cafés, restaurants and bakeries, a specialist German butchery, hardware store, hairdressers, a Westpac, Kiwi Bank and Post Shop, maternity hospital, medical centre, two pharmacies, a library, dental practice plus various gift and fashion boutiques.
The local pub, the Famous Grouse Hotel has recently been rebuilt and is a great place to watch the rugby, have a meal, or catch up with friends.
Each month Lincoln has its own Farmers and Craft Market on a Saturday morning. This is held in the centre of town and is very popular with the locals.
As well as Lincoln University, there are a number of highly respected research institutes who are also based in the township. This includes Ag Research, Institute for Plant and Food Research, FAR (Foundation for Arable Research), and Landcare Research. Over 400 people are employed by these institutes alone.
