Flax Roots Tattoo situated at 5 Collingwood Street, Hamilton City Centre. A warm and welcoming studio with a friendly atmosphere to match the super talented crew of experienced, professional tattoo artists.

Story

We are a Custom Tattoo Studio and if you wish to have something custom designed for you you may need a consultation first. During a consult you will be able to discuss your ideas with the artist and finalise the design, size and placement.

During a consult & design we should be able to give you an idea of how many sessions you may need. A consultation costs $50. Drawings/Designs are not done unless a tattoo booking is made and drawings are normally ready to view within a day of the tattoo booking.

To make the design process easier we are asking that you provide us with some details about what you are interested in getting tattooed.

The best thing to do is to pop into the shop if you are in Hamilton otherwise please fill out a booking request on our website www.flaxrootstattoo.co.nz or email us a detailed description of what you would like to get done or what needs to be finished, size and placement. Please include any reference pictures if needed. Please note it may take a few days for an email reply. If your request is urgent please come into the store or call us on 07 8392036.

Please keep in regular contact to keep updated on your request. Some of our artists do have wait times but we have regular guest artists who can sometimes do short notice work and we will always do our best to fit you in.

Clients who have paid the booking consult fee are given priority to booking times and be aware our artists are concentrating on styles and work of interest to them. Artists work by every hour. An artist will advise an estimate of hours a tattoo may take. So if you would like 2hrs of work, then this is the allocated hours the artist will be happy to book for you and is the only amount you need to pay. Booking fees paid, will also be taken off the total amount of the tattoo.

Please accept artistic interpretation if you are providing us with reference pictures or drawings as all our artists prefer to design original work for you. We do not work on existing work from other tattooist’s however we do cover ups.
