Had lunch with my wife there yesterday. People keep coming in as soon as the restaurant opens at 11.30am. The staff were friendly and helpful. We don't have to wait too long for our meals. My wife had the garlic prawns. The garlic sauce was tasty and had 9 good size prawns. My Crispy Skin Salmon Risotto had a good size piece of salmon on top of very tasty risotto rice. This is our first time visiting since the earthquake. We were impressed with their good services and excellent food quality. We will definitely come back to try other dishes in the very near future.
Food and service warm, but we went at the end of winter and it was a little chilly in the covered outdoor section as the drinks were coming from the outside bar and each time staff went through to get the drinks it sent a little draft though. Plenty of heaters running. Highly recommend and will totally be back. We all had the small Cod and chips which was great especially the salad.
When we entered the restaurant, they were fully booked but the staff was kind enough for us to have a table. We ordered the Fisherman's Pie, Seafood Chowder, Crumbed Camembert and the catch of the Day Fish and Chips. The food arrived promptly and were delicious! The beer battered fish especially was really crunchy and fresh and was the most memorable dish. The seafood chowder was wonderful with large chunks of fresh seafood, best chowder we ever had! Where we sat, the view was really exquisite overlooking Lyttleton Harbour. Overall, a great experience and highly recommend.
We enjoyed seafood chowder and found seafood sizzling plate was fresh but a bit bland. Good values for proportions ! Service was good but they didn’t mention any special for today though.
I have my lunch here its amazing meal. As a crew member we appreciate all the foods. I order a lot of food but i don't remember the name anyway all the meal its fantastic. This place will be my recommended for crews member if you want to try something nice.n10/10.
