Considering the ferry crosses some of the most treacherous waters in the world I felt quite at ease. The skipper clearly very experienced at what he does and a massive well done to the lovely crew who were very caring and tending to people who felt unwell.nWhat a great bunch, thank you so much for the journey to the island and back!nThe lady at the counter was also super nice and helpful thank you
Wild crossing. Loved it. Take sea sickness medications beforehand for sure
Called in on 28th February in the afternoon to get a weeks long term parking. Was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. They are a real credit to the business. Would highly recommend. A++
It's ridiculously expensive for just 1h crossing. For the same price you can cross with your car from north to south island or vice versa. For this price, at least some coffee or tea at the terminal should be provided.nParking in downtown Auckland is even less expensive than RealNZ prices at the terminal.nAgain, it shows how big companies are only there to rip you off for bigger profits..
Ferry is owned by Real NZ and they provide WiFi in the terminal. You can book tours at the ticket counter. All very pricey, both the ferry and the tour, but the ferry is the only game in town. The same price as flying to Stewart Island from Invercargill. The staff in both the terminal and ferry are nice to everyone.
