Wonderful experience. Jan and her team could not have been more friendly or helpful. Room was spacious, fresh and very clean. A home away from home. Had a twin single unit and it had 'everything' cooking and laundry wise. Ideally located to wonderful eateries/supermarket/shops. Would definitely recommend and will return if I am in Birkenhead, Auckland again.
This place is so great. Super clean and nice. The only thing is the parking on their basement but there plenty of off street parking available.Rooms: 5/5
The rooms arent clean. Hair on bed sheets, black stuff looks kinda like Foot steps On Bedsheets. One Of the pillow Case had Blood stains & another had moldy Dots on it. tables were very dirty, we wiped it ourselves & the wet sheets turned all dusty grey brown. glad we brought wet wipes due to covid to wipe surfaces! & our own bedsheets as it was a stay for more than a week. 1 extra star just for the service provided.
FERNZ is our preferred accommodation when myself or my staff are needing to travel to Auckland. Their Hospitality is 2nd to none and we have always had the most pleasurable of stays. Jan is so kind and lovely to deal with. She organised our corporate group of 38 staff members flying in from the UK, Australia and Canada over 5 days, and made it so easy and stress-free. She really went above & Beyond for us!! The rooms are clean & cozy, location is perfect with great restuatants nearby, and it feels really safe. Crossing paths with the cleaners and receptionist on occasion, they were always smiling and cheerful. It is such a warm and welcoming place to stay. Thanks FERNZ & thanks Jan! See you all again soon! We stayed for 3 nights at this motel which is close to nearby shops.Everything was at hand and plenty of beverage supplies. The room was very clean, great shower and lots of soaps, shampoo etc. We also had a nice balcony to sit out and relax in the shade in the evening. Good parking within the motel grounds. I would definitely recommend this motel.
I did not stay here, but rather tried to make a booking for a group of 12 women. After several messages over a few weeks, I finally got a response this morning that was totally rude and unprofessional. I was accused of sending "random messages" and told that I didn't exist. They had my correct phone number and email address. I was appalled to be treated to rudely by someone in the hospitality business. My husband called her from my phone and asked her to please call me and sort it. She didn't, but rather sent me a text justifying herself. I see from the reviews others have also been treated badly. No doubt they will reply and tell me it was all my fault, but I'm sorry - no excuse for not replying to messages and being so rude and unprofessional. No excuse for making it personal and telling me that I don't exist.
My partner and I LOVED IT! Room was so beautiful and clean but the best part about it was the beautiful view to the city. Bed was so comfortable, slept like a baby. Management are the most friendliest people in the world. My first stay at a motel and I loved it. Highly highly recommend Fernz. We loved our stay there and will definitely go back. Only visited friends who were staying here, but it looked lovely. Great location, beautifully appointed, and overlooking bush! Easy if you're using public transport as it's two minutes walk away from cafés, shops and busses.
