My business is about soap, which is as simple and straightforward as I can make it. There are no parabens, no SLS, no strange ingredients.
My soaps grew out of a need for a soap powder that did not cause my skin to itch when I washed my clothes. One particular expensive sensitive brand was fine twice rinsed - but I thought there had to be a better way.
After much research and trial & error, I found a recipe for a washing liquid that used a soap and other basic ingredients. I have since " tweaked" the recipe - but it is perfect.
So, the next step was to make the soap! Soon I was researching soap making. Three months later I made my first batch. Rosemary and lemon. It was beautiful! I was in heaven, and addicted. For the first time ever, I can now use soap. My soap.
Vegetable oils, including coconut, cocoa, avocado, grape seed, rosehip. I use ethically sourced palm oil and sweet almond oil and apricot oil in my bath bombs. All my colours are food colours or micas, safe and non toxic - if I use them. Decorations are in soap or sugar. I use organic locally sourced ingredients (Including herbs such as , rosemary from my own garden), carrots, beet root, coconut milk, goats milk, Welcome Bay Real Milk, Convita and Arataki honey. All because I believe in simple beautiful ingredients mean beautiful soap - but at the same time a little glamour never hurts! My children's bath bombs contain butterflies, bugs and frogs, smell of toasted marshmallow, bubblegum, chocolate and monkeyfarts ( ahem, fruit). They turn the water soft, scented and cloudy with oils ( but never too much) and ground oats for young skin. They should emerge smelling better and a bit happier with a treat!
I have Cupcake Soapbathbombs, generous bath bombs which make up the "cake" and the frosting is the matching soap. Thrifty bathers can half the bomb and have two baths and plenty of lovely showers with the soap!
Have a cup of something mice and take your time to wander through my wares - bring your own cookie, none of my cupcakes, slices and bars are edible I'm afraid...
