I work in Stratford, so I was happy to discover this gem. Beautiful art everywhere, and delicious food, coffee and even gin!. I've done the gin tasting and it was a lot of fun, and purchased bottles to gift to gin-loving friends.nI go there for a quick coffee and snack on work days, and I have always been impressed with the staff's friendliness and quick service.
Had a lovely surprise coffee at this little cafe on Easter Monday … when they were closed! The owner saw us peeking in the window and invited us in for a coffee. Wow! What friendly service and the coffee was really good.nnWe learned a lot about the local area and the place has a lovely little gift shop & pretty nice micro distillery too. Even though it was morning,nMy husband was invited to do a whiskey tasting! I would love to go back.
A beautiful cozy place in the town. I am impressed with the setting of the place. Can accomodate small number of groups. Nice to place to hang around with your loved ones.nThis place is really worth for gin and vodka lovers as they have locally distilleries.nWe orderd a hot chocolate and flat white which is so good. Hot chocolate served with a whittakers slab. I tried their pistachio macroon which was soo tempting. They have a selected items in the menu and the presentation is so artistic.nI ordered a sandwich and asked to replace smoked salmon instead of chicken. And they were happy to do so.nArt Sandwich was good but didn’t feel worth the price.nSome of the local souvenirs are available for purchase.
Another very special find!nThis is not your run of mill cafe but an ‘experience’ nThe food offerings were simply superb, the there was the seating- there is a separate room if you choose it, an resident artist and gallery you can view, and onsite tastings available for the whisky and gin from the attached distillery beautifully restored building with gorgeous decor. The staff and proprietors are fabulously welcoming and generous with their time NOT TO BE MISSED if you are visiting or passing through Stratford.
A nice pace and good atmosphere.nI was just a bit taken aback at the price. To pay $60 for lunch when normally the same or similar would be about $40 means I would not return or recommend.nAlso the salmon bagel was heated and that was unexpected. I am not keen on heated lettuce. I was not given the option.nHowever, the waitresses were lovely.
