I must say, this establishment offers the finest cod and chips in the Southern Hemisphere. The cod portion was truly impressive, and it was delightfully non-greasy. Furthermore, the accompanying salad was wonderfully refreshing, and the kumara chips were perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining tender on the inside, a welcome contrast to the often dry and greasy offerings found at other fast-food establishments.
Loved it, food freshly made. Perfect amount of salad and chips and sauce. Fish was so tasty and not oily as some places tend to do. We had the blue cod in crumbs meal which i can highly recommend. Prices were great too so we went twice in one week dine in or takeaway - Great picnic spot across the road in front of Kapiti Island.
Best fish in town, tender and fresh, my 6years old daughter only eat fish from this restaurant. Good customer service too. Also guess what, just found out after so many years that they do not even charge extra for dinning and apply same price as take away food!
Normally the food is top notchnMy last meal was disappointing, I paid over $10 for a whitebait fritter that was mostly egg.nThe chips and hot dogs were very soggy the fish was as delicious as normal.nI suspect the soggy food was due to the cooking being too cool.nDefinitely not the usual standard we are used to.
I've been stopping in for meals over the past few years and I wanted something to eat on a trip back home so called in and decided rather than having a meal, I would just get something to take away. Settled on a fishburger and whilst crumbed fish isn't my preference it is possible it can be made with battered fish instead of crumbed but I didn't ask the burger was fresh and well presented with salad and a slice of cheese.nThe food from Fed Up is consistently good and I recommend you try it.
