Decided to take our friends here today for fish and chips as on previous visits it's been very good. We were embarrassed to recommend this place and won't be back. The chips were horrible, some brown and not how we remember. The fish tasted like shark, didn't taste nice and not fresh. Left us all with horrible after taste. I will end with a positive- the sausages got the thumbs up. Has it changed owners? Very disappointed
I am totally blown away with this Takeaway... they have the best wedges and great portions for your money. The fish is delicious and so is the batter...crispy and not caked on like a lot of places here in kapiti. This is our new favourite Fish & Chip shop for sure. Pays to try new places.
The food in my opinion is consistently good. Never been disappointed. Fresh fish, crispy thin batter. The fish meal is presented well, a little step up from the norm.Food: 4/5
Wanted a treat .. so looked on their website and the price was reasonable. Fish burger 1 fish and scoop of chips. Phone ordered.. went to pick up and they were charging me $3.50 more than the website price. Eg . Burger on web site 7.5 they wanted 9.50. They refused to honor the website prices. Stating they were out of date. They really didn't care.. I refused to pay extra price. Will never go there again
Lovely fish and chips and reasonably priced too. Highly recommend this place.
Paid $9.20 for this "steak" and egg burger and it had a premade frozen meat pattie on it with three tiny bits of what looked like stir fry beef on top. One soggy piece of lettuce underneath. The chips were also terrible. We have always got our fish and chips from fed up, but are feeling thoroughly ripped off tonight. Will be finding a new fish and chip shop from now on.
Really delicious battered fish and potato cakes. Best I have had, crunchy and good!!
I ordered take aways and the fish was wrong at $11 a fillet and mushy also only received 1 fish not 2 and the manager hung up on me when I rang to complain not impressed Food: 2/5
Had snapper and chips with a salad. The fushcwas do fresh it melted in my mouth, chips were good and salad very fresh and tasty. Big meal all for $9.90. No complaints highly recommended
Only went there for a gelato ice cream and was a bit surprised they charged an extra 50 cents for the cone. Wasn't impressed, won't be going back anytime soon.Food: 2/5
