We were lucky to have the promo of 4 adults for $99 this October 2022. The decorations and how they designed the store were really beautiful and scary. Moreover, the receptionists were themselves scary-looking. Nevertheless, the fear factor level was not what I expected. I wanted to see really scary people with nice make-up and not just shadows of humans. It was still good for an adrenaline rush. However, I have seen far better and scarier ones. Still nice to try with friends when you are in Wellington.
Absolutely love this place! I've been many times, and always had great fun. Their guided tours are amazing - actors that follow you and give you amazing scares and the experience is always different because of each actor - always worth it. Went in today to try their new 'unguided' tour. A cheaper option where there's no actors - just you, your friends and a blacklight torch to go through the maze and still get some great scares with some amazing decorations and surprises! Well worth repeat visits!!
So bloody good and would 10/10 recommend! We had such a laugh and a good scare going through. Staff were fantastic, shop is awesome. All around a great activity. Nice work Fear Factory Wellington
SHIVERED MY TIMBERS This place is impeccable. Absolutely scary. I suffered a horrible uti after though because i held in my piss for too long. This is insanely scary. I swear the people in there replicated ME! It was horrifying, i felt as though i was looking into a mirror repetitively and being grabbed by my own being. It was horrifying but i enjoyed the hair brushing aspect of it. They brushed my hair beautifully, all knots were gone after my visit! 10/10 recommendation! Take your kids here! I’ll pay for therapy i’m broke.
My partner and I have now been three times. Yesterday we did the self guided tour with no scarers and it was amazing getting to see all the work and detail put into the haunted house!! The staff have always been amazing, and we had a good chat with one of the guys yesterday. The first time we went I yelled chicken and the scarers escorting us out kept in character yet we're really calming aswell. This place is amazing and I highly recommend going!
Went for a visit at the Fear Factory at Wellington on my weekend away and had such a good time! The staff were so fun and lovely! And i honesty was kept on my toes and had a few adrenline rushes They also have so many cool gifts and toys in the gift shop and got some great photos of me ‍ Would definately recommend for a fun activity in Welly!
Worst experience every front house of staff friendly, but i had no one touch me or anything, i heard a couple of 12 year old girls saying as they come out that it wasnt scary, that should have been a red light but you guys have good reviews.... i can only assume they must possibly delete negative reviews, yes it can be done etc. I guess the thing that bothers me most is the false advertising/ oerselling it. Go try for yourself but i think most people will agree. Like i said staff were nice just me and me girl felt really ripped off....
So, I visited this place Afternoon of 31/12/22 after checking their availability online which shows plenty of availability.While in store, it took me good 10-12 minutes to get attention of the the staff member Luke only to be told that they are sold out and no bookings are available. I wanted to ask him why they showing availability online but had to wait again another 10-15 min to get his attention only to be told again ‘No availability’. I showed him their website showing availability for the later shows and he said this is management fault. They are not fixing the website and we told them many times. Further, I asked him if he would honour the booking, if I would have come with online booking confirmation, he said probably Yes. So, I asked I am in the store now and can do the booking and pay for the tickets while there but he said oh no we are fully booked and running behind the schedule. Seriously, I am sure if this person knew what he was talking about. But what an awful and disappointing experience for the visitors coming to visit from overseas.I don’t know how they have five star reviews but I will not recommend this place at all based on my experience. Complete waste of time and worst customer service.
Went there expecting nothing super amazing but I was proven wrong the second I came in I was greeted with amazing service and then when we went through the horror house in the pitch black darkness I was scared much more than anticipated.
