A quirky little cafe with a great menu selection and even a shop. Staff were lovely, and there was plenty of space to sit and eat. We ordered coffee, cheesecake, and a Caesar salad from the cabinet. Top marks for the coffee and cheesecake, but the salad was a but disappointing. It didn't have much protein in it, the croutons were soggy, and it resembled more lettuce leaves with a bit of dressing than the Caesar salad it promised. It wasn't the cheapest either around $17, which for that price, you'd expect a bit more. I would, however, visit again and like to try more of their vast menu as the cafe had a great atmosphere.
Great little roadside Kiwi Cafe. Loved the food cabinet display. Absolute amazing selection of pies and tarts and rolls. Very fast and efficient service. The Cranberry chicken was amazing.
Fat Kiwi Cafe was a unique blend of cafe and general store. I tried the pork belly eggs benny, but unfortunately the pork belly had a chewy skin, and the eggs were hard-boiled rather than poached. The custard square lacked a strong vanilla flavor, and the pastry was missing that signature flakiness. On the plus side, the coffee was good, and service was friendly.
Lots of good options and love that they have keto options! Had a delicious eggs bene with keto bread today and my partner enjoyed a big breakfast. Staff were friendly and pretty good service. It is a bit of a pity they couldn't provide the net carbs or even a rough idea for the keto meals though, I feel like if you're going to call something keto then you need to provide the amount of carbs per serving because people doing keto usually like to track their carb intake. Maybe something to improve on? Awesome you provide keto options though it's so hard to be able to eat out on keto diet.
Absolutely loved this cafe. The food and atmosphere were exceptional! Everything was so well presented and my lemon tart was delicious :D
