Thank you so so much to Carmel, Siggi and Mia!! We had the most wonderful stay and didn't want to leave! We arrived in the late afternoon with warm welcomes and a spectacular sunset over the bay. The room was fresh, clean and and cosy with the most beautiful view to wake up to and the cosiest beds. Carmel was very thoughtful in having a beautiful vase of flowers that included some kangaroo paw from my home country The property has wonderful gardens to explore and we enjoyed playing with the beautiful Swiss shepherd Mia. The property sits on the hill with bush and walking trails on one side and a short walk to town the other way. The perfect location for exploring the beaches, bush and surrounds. We were treated to the special "Bill experience". Such a delight, big thanks to him. It's been the perfect way to be welcomed in to NZ and we will be back! Thank you so much Carmel, Siggi, MIA and Bill.
A charming home in the nicest little spot in Thames, overlooking the town. The rooms were very comfortable and were supplied with plenty of creature comforts. Carmel and Siegfried have done the place up very beautifully. This was only matched by the lovely hospitality and the delicious homemade breakfasts. Mia, their very cute red-bandana-wearing dog, tops off the experience. We had a great stay here, and will definitely come back if ever we're in the area.
Carmel and Siegfried were fantastic! and not to mention their little lovely dog Mia. We were a group of 4 friends and we loved our 5-night stay wishing we could've stayed longer. The views are amazing, their hospitality incredible. Really nice breakfast too. Very tidy and lovely BnB equipped with everything you need. Thanks again Carmel, Siegfried and Mia, I'd love to be back hopefully soon :
Great place to stay, in a peaceful spot above Thames, with a view to the sea. Carmel and Siegfried were wonderful hosts. We really appreciated their hospitality, and especially enjoyed a walk with Siegfried and Mia through bush to a refreshing rock pool in a nearby stream.
Carmel and Siegfried have created an oasis of calm on the Thames hillside. Unparalleled views across the estuary are only the beginning of your stay. They are warm and welcoming hosts and offer private, tastefully decorated and well appointed accommodation. Siegfried’s breakfasts are as good as, if not better, than anywhere in town, which given his chef’s training isn’t unexpected. We had scrambled eggs one day and poached the next. Both were perfect. I am looking forward to returning for an omelette. Thank you for hosting us, we will be back
Beautiful place I 100% recommend Carmel & Siegfried, With Mia the doggie Very friendly, And welcoming, I must say even tho my mother and I with 2 children booked in late, Carmel was very lovely about our situation, I must say the homemade bread was very yummy too It had amazing views, Up on the hill in Thames, Beddings was just as comfortable as much as Carmel & Siegfried comfort, Very homely Once again I Thankyou so very much for having me and my family. This will not be our last. Most love from My family and myself
Super hosts, Carmel and Siggi. Enjoyed a weekend away with my adult daughter in the lovely town of Thames. Accommodation was private and comfortable. Breakfasts were very enjoyable Carmel’s muesli and Siggi’s sourdough and plum jam were delicious. It was nice when they joined us for breakfast as we got to know them better. The evening drink on the deck was lovely especially taking in the sunset. Highly recommend to all. You’ll have a restful and refreshing stay. Look forward to visiting again and telling our friends and family. Have a wonderful year, Carmel and Siggi.
