I had a great experience with the Evolution Gym in Whitianga while staying in the region during my holidays away from Auckland. The staff is very friendly and the gym equipment is world class. They are by far the best gym in Coromandel. I would definitely recommend them to everyone!
Our son has just started his journey with Toa Martial Arts, it is such an amazing space and the instructors are next level awesome!! Never seen so many happy kids learning self discipline and respect and a certain set of skills whilst enjoying every minute :

Absolutely loved going to this gym.. my first time here and the experience was great. Small friendly space which is locally owned and operated. I also learned its a family run business which i love over those big metro corporation type gyms. Buddy the owner was helpful and very knowledgeable about physical fitness and nutrition tips. He took the time to ensure i felt very welcome at the gym. Looking forward to this becoming my regular gym for all my workouts. Totally pumped to try out their new HIIT classes too as i love the group style classes!
Dropped in for the Tuesday night Bjj class for some rolls while traveling the area. Awesome new set up, super clean and really welcoming group. Stop in for some rolls if you’re passing through
Awesome place to train with a great bunch of people, whatever you are after they have all new equipment and a friendly face to welcome you.
Nothing pretentious but friendly, helpful staff. Equipment solid and does the job. Friendly local clientele. Family oriented. Good value for the annual membership.
