Kate had both a positive short term and long term impact on our little family. I had initially booked ‘Postnatal Mums and Bubs Craniosacral Therapy’ hoping to get some help with my 5 week old baby having what I felt was excess gas.nnKate observed me breastfeeding and I advised I didn’t think we were having any issues but baby did have a tongue tie the midwives had said not to worry about.nnShe then offered to complete an assessment for me, and through the assessment she was able to point me in the right direction to both improve my breastfeeding and also get my baby referred to the hospital specialist for tongue tie within the 6 week time frame I had no idea there was a ticking clock on this.nnAfter seeing Kate I no longer had any excessive gas issues with my baby from that very night which meant everyone in the house was happier and sleeping more! and I was able to see a specialist and get her severe tongue tie released that week before she turned 6 weeks old.nnWithout this assessment, my baby may have had quite a few issues growing up, so I’m very grateful for her services.
Kate was the light at the end of the tunnel after weeks of struggling with breastfeeding. Thanks to her knowledge we were able to overcome our issues and have a long and successful breastfeeding journey.nAs soon as there was any hint of issues with feeding when baby no.2 came along Kate was the first person I trusted knowing with her support we’d overcome whatever was going on. Cannot thank Kate enough for the help to successfully feed both my babies.
Kate was an incredible recommendation from a trusted friend. I was nervous, as it feels like if somethings wrong it’s your fault. But! Kate put me at ease immediately. We discussed the possibilities of what could be causing slow weight gain and low milk supply: she identified a tongue tie and I got it sorted at Kenepuru hospital. We reviewed after this, and she assured me of my supply, taught me to laid back feed, use an SNS system, and now my milk is well and truly in!!nnIt is worth the money and the time and the effort. Kate knows her stuff and is so approachable and great with babies too. I can’t thank you enough Kate. I highly recommend her if you need support with your breastfeeding journey.
Absolutely amazing! I’d never heard of a lactation consultant before walking through Kate’s door but I suddenly felt I was in the right place which put me at ease straight away. Very welcoming and her expert advice and help has meant we have fixed the problem straight away and I can continue to breast feed with no pain at all. Happy baby and very happy mum! Thanks Kate.
Kate is amazing. My back feels soo good after going through few sessions with her. Also I feel super comfortable talking and discussing about my breastfeeding issues and she has helped me a lot with it as well.
