Excellent service. I called in for a couple of small accessories pump, pedals and in each case Kirk showed me a couple of alternatives out of what they had in stock, described the advantages and disadvantages of each, answered any questions and mentioned other alternatives which could be ordered. He also cheerfully and quickly fitted the pedals I bought.
Excellent service! They were so patient with my shy one-year old and helped find a great first helmet for her. Really appreciate the time and care they took for what was a relatively small sale. Will definitely be back for bikes.
The shop staff give you great service. They don't put the hard sell on you and they listen to what you need. The mechanics are amazing. They are genuinely passionate about bikes and they want your bike to work as well as it can. A big thumbs up.
Extremely frustrated and disappointed customer!!! Purchased high end mountain bike from them and so far, my experience was: - Asked for a bigger disk rotor to be installed during the purchase, Mechanics didn't know what adapter to use and failed to install it. - Asked for swapping break hoses for the European style as that's the only safe way for me after riding that way for the whole my life. In return they had many excuses about NZ safety laws. I ended up doing it myself within 5 minutes with a fresh bleed. - Asked them to replace the shock coil as I needed different weightage, again failed as they didn't have basic tool to maintain a bike they were selling. FYI for guys from Pitcrew it was 5 minutes job, and they didn't charge me anything - One of the bearings in the rear wheel failed after not even 3 months on the bike with recent weather you can hardly talk about any serious riding. When I asked for a warranty claim, after an unpleasant experience when staff were trying to convince me that they did not see anything wrong with it, they offered to send it to South Island for warranty assessment. Such a waste of time and money for $20 bearing. This time guys from local shop GMC Cycling were able to help So, at this point it is extremely hard to say anything positive about my experience so far. Also, I'm starting to question the gold service plan I have purchased with the bike as currently I have zero trust in their skills.
Recently needed parts for an exercise bike, staff quickly identified the correct parts needed, order arrived within 2 or 3 days. Very happy with that.
Great friendly people. Answered all questions. Very knowledgeable. Found the perfect bike with the help of the staff . Highly recommended.
Your new Orewa manager is exceptional and a complete polar opposite of previously unengaged members of staff
Okay guys, sorry but dont go there. Bought a Koma sutra bike and MATT was the one selling all the gear to me. When i asked for a "better" saddle he was pretty keen to take the leather brooks saddle off which came with the bike and sell me another one. He said it is not a good saddle and not for long term. This is not true a more than a misleading advice, because this is one of the basic things to know when working in a bicycle Shop. When i realized this saddle was worthed 200 bucks I wanted to have it back the other day. But apparently they had to have a "look" for it and 15 Minutes later it was at warehouse for Stock. This whole Thing felt weird. The Manager was there all the time and said nothing. Spend 4000 Dollars and you Do Things like that? That is not honest....
The staff were very informative and helpful, not pushy or 'salesy'. Great service. Thanks!
Great store with experienced staff who actually ride, lots of stock, sharp prices, good mechanics and the product knowledge is spot on...After being a long-term customer with another Major Bicycle retailer their model has changed, and IMO lost the essence of bicycle service, Well done EVO for keeping it real!!
