It’s functional, sure, but lacks the modern polish and sleek design you’ll find at other Event Cinemas locations like Newmarket or Queen Street. The signage is tired, the lighting is dim, and even the foyer area feels a bit neglected.nnThat said, it does have most of the blockbusters and a decent range of session times, which is a big plus for local moviegoers. There’s usually not a huge crowd, so getting tickets is easy and you often have plenty of seat choices. The snack bar offers all the usual cinema treats, though the prices feel steep considering the surroundings haven’t been upgraded in years. The bathrooms and general facilities are serviceable but could really benefit from a refresh.nnIn terms of comfort, the seats are okay but nowhere near as plush or spacious as the recliners in newer Event Cinemas. Callum is amazing here, so helpful when booking for groups. Also have always had helpful, friendly staff each time I have visited with friends, family or work. There was a lovely helpful man who showed us to our cinema last time and so polite. Keep up the great job guys!
We always enjoy going to Manukau Event Cinemas. They have a good selection of games to play before and after the movie. Prices are always clear and easy to find, seats are comfy and large. Staff are always friendly and professional. The Cinema is always clean as well as the toilets. Highly recommend. Also the popcorn is always fresh!
