EV Charging Solutions

After trying a couple of electricians and another charger company EV Charging Solutions were the only company that got back to me with a realistic price! My installation was non standard and pretty tricky, the other companies were not interested and said it couldn't be done. Chris came to survey my property and came up with a solution within minuets. The whole process was painless and done in time for the government grant which they also dealt with for me. Very happy, would definitely recommend.

Excellent start to end - happy to answer my multiple questions* They managed the government grant application and fit me in well within fortnight of payment. Great guy too, the electrician Phil. No regrets so far. *Was small issue on their form which stated I would pay a couple hundred less when in fact the online form was not working correctly - then I realised the price was in line with competitors so went ahead with it.

Great experience with EV Charging Solutions from ordering right through installation. The support of the office team was great answering lots of my questions about a slightly non standards installation and ensuring I selected the best product for my needs. Installation was spot on and finished job is excellent. Highly recommend!

Made contact via Bark initially to be rung up at 8am by an incredibly rude young female. Upon enquiring I stated I required a costing for a BP Pulse Home Charger Unit to be replaced with an OHME Unit, female stated she needed to send somebody out to which I replied I would just like costing as the in situ and working. I just wanted a price to change the unit I was reiterating what my Enquiry what’s for to which he replied in a rather loud argumentative voice. “I’m trying to help you, there’s no need to be so rude” I wasn’t being rude, however, she certainly was. Female needs training to read what the enquiry is about and polite customer service. Fantastic way to lose custom!

I had a great experience with EV Charging solutions from guidance on the different products available through to installation. All very impressive.

Shocking service. Told me I had to upgrade my consumer unit cost me £550 and then the fitter said it was unnecessary and could have installed a unit outside for £40! They didn’t fit a clamp for the solar panels and refuse to return my phone calls.

Had my charging point installed today. The whole experience with this company has been exemplary, from start to end. Pre-install customer service was fantastic and engineer Jordan did a beautiful job - neat, and exactly to spec. Cannot recommend this company enough!

I have had an EV charging point installed at home by EV Charging Solutions. The whole experience from ordering through to installation went very well and I am very pleased with the final result. The installer was faced with a number of technical problems to overcome due to my existing electrical installation and he dealt with these in a professional and efficient manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending EV Charging Solutions to others.

Cancelled installations twice and then asked me to backdate a claim to meet the deadline for a government funded opportunity. Their engineer turned up, then left and later texted to inform me that the cable run was too long and he would have to rearrange through his boss. When I rang Chris Barber’s office, his booking agent stated there would be an additional charge of 3 days of labour at £300 a day and an extra £79 for an additional cable to have the EV unit installed. Costs that were never mentioned in any of the criteria to have an EV unit fitted, either from the government offer or from them I found EV charging solutions both Incompetent and dishonest and would not recommend them further. N.B I would ignore the claims in the response to this review. Either EV Charging Solutions is blatantly lying or it is even more incompetent than I first thought and doesn't know its staff. Please note the screengrab from an email sent from Chris below that has the same phone number and location. Pathetic.

EV Charging Solutions installed x3 charging units for our site. Very competitive compared to other companies looked at. During the project and the after the commissioning the service that followed has been faultless from Chris and his team. Looking at larger projects going forward with the view of going straight to EV Charging Solutions again. Ricardo Midlands Technical Centre - Leamington Spa.
