Story

Equine Estate is a privately owned property situated in the beautiful Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand.

Heavily wooded with a mixture of native bush and stands of exotic trees, interspersed with open pasture, Equine is a world away from the hustle & bustle of town, but just 40 minutes from Rotorua and 50 minutes from the coastal city of Tauranga by road. The property is served by two regional airports, and also has ample room to land by helicopter.

The main activity is driven pheasant shooting, which begins in May and runs to the end of August. In addition, the famous sporting clay pigeon layout is open year round and hosts a wide variety of clients. The three separate fields can host groups of up to sixty people, and catering can be organised to suit client’s needs.

While others have come and gone, Equine Estate was the first property in New Zealand to adopt European style driven shooting, and has steadily evolved over more than twenty years. As the leading game shooting property in New Zealand, we are famous for excellent hosting in a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere.
