Don’t be fooled by the name! The grounds were used as an equestrian centre years ago before the motel was built. The guy who owned the equestrian centre also built the motel which is where the name originated. It’s not that we don’t like horses but it can put off some potential guests who think we might all be walking around wearing jodhpurs and swinging a crop! :-)
At one point we tried to come up with a new name for the motel but nothing reflected the uniqueness of our location and gardens that hadn’t already been used. We also made quite an impression on various major review websites which we didn’t want to jeopardise. So we're stuck with it!
