We paid $42 for a coffee table and an airer, which weighed less than 15kg, but it showed as 30kg when we dropped it off. It's a scam—don't come here!
Dropped off 130 kgs at a rate of $738/tonne. More than twice the advertised per tonne rate. Considering there is NO extra cost to the company other than producing the invoice, this is PRICE GOUGING. No incentive to get rid of smaller loads. The smaller loads are easier to leave on the side of the road. The WRONG message.nAs for the angry checkout lady....
The staff are nice helpful but the management is so greedy. The prices are not displayed anywhere and you get to know until payment. Mine were 31kg and I had to pay $64 for 30kg-100kg price bracket which is insane..!
We weighed our rubbish bags at home, totalled 18kg. They told us it was 40kg and charged us $67. Insanity.
This is a review of Hungry bag which is one of their products. Basically AVOID and just pay the extra money to go with someone else. The headache is not worth it.nnOur experience:nnThey do not promise any collection date nor do they offer an option to pick a date so it's a mystery when/if they pick up the bin. Their timeframe is that will aim to pick up within 2 weeks but they aren't going to promise you a date.nnAfter multiple emails about 4 weeks after we paid for collection which they only responded to one and many phone calls, we finally got to someone who said they would escalate to their operations manager and that they would call back. Nothing happened so we called again a week later and got a lovely customer service agent who was very nice about the whole situation so thank you to her. She escalated to a supervisor who said they would get the bin removed in the next few days. Again nothing happened so we had to call again...nnOverall took over 2 months for them to collect a prepaid bin but only after we asked them to over and over... Very poor experience and incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. We are also convinced that their Operations Manager doesn't exist since they did not call back as promised or even bother to send a courtesy email.nnLearn from us and use someone else.
