I don't usually post reviews but wanted to write this after hearing that my friends and family have experienced something similar to how I felt at this store Today I went in and came across a nice T-shirt The lady at the cashier was friendly and had let me try it on I was contemplating for a long time because it was a lot of money for me to spend on one single T-shirt While I was still deciding and walking around the store, the owner comes to me and asks whether I was going to buy the shirt or not When I replied "I'm still deciding" he snatched the T-shirt I had in my hands and walked off I assume he was preparing it for the next customer, but the action felt very blunt and I felt judged for not being able to easily afford the piece My family member has also experienced something similar to me She came into the store to look for a certain style of jeans, but when they did not stock them she was quickly hurried out of the store and was bluntly told to "stop wasting her time" We were taken back when a Caucasian customer walked in and their service was completely different I am not sure why the service is so different; is it because of the way we look? We both agreed that this store is very aesthetic and has so many styles that we love, but we cannot recommend it to people when we do not feel welcomed by the store

Was recommended to go here and after popping in today and making a purchase I now know why. The most amazing and attentive customer service you can ever experience! So knowledgeable, kind, friendly, honest and helpful and they just go above and beyond. 5 stars plus!

Benji is a jean-ious! It's a superpower to look at you, then hundreds of jeans and hand you the perfect pair.

As someone who has anxiety around jeans and clothes shopping, Benji always takes his time to suss you out with all of your hang ups- reads between the things you say ignores most of them then delivers what you want whilst pushing the boundaries. All done with good humour and sass couldn’t rate him higher. He’s a gifted man and I’d spend my money at his business any time I have the chance. Very happy customer for life

Encompass is the best. I have limited where I shop for clothes to 3 places. The ONLY place to buy jeans is Encompass. Benji and his staff are beyond compare - thanks for making me FEEL and look the best that I can see you soon, I really want the light blue jeans I tried

Omg the best customer service I have every had. I went into the store wearing ugly unfitted jeans and left with jeans that for the first time I absolutely love. The product is quality and seriously the gentleman that owns this store us a remarkable man who seriously should have a tv show showing people what to wear. He is a beautiful human being that makes you fabulous. This is the only place I'll ever purchase jeans from again.

Benji... the man, the myth, the legend. Hands down the best selection of jeans and service in Christchurch. He and his staff were super helpful and full of knowledge on what jeans will suit each figure the best. Highly recommend!!!
