Management punishes new customers. I wanted a chair but couldn't collect that day, I offered to pay up front or give another guarantee so I could collect the next day. But I was told someone before has paid a deposit and not returned. Not sure why new customers are being held accountable for this. Has to be said the staff member I spoke to was very polite and apologetic. This issue lies with a failure in ownership/management policy.
excellent staff and drivers! everything runs nicely and good stuff available at good prices...more people should donate and buy here...it is a win-win situation for everyone, sustainable for the environment and the money is for a good cause...
I live in Oxford nearly 20-years. I'll continue to support this Charity whatever I could. I visited Emmaus every now & then. I bought things & I donated things to Emmaus as well. Because, their purpose is to end the Homelessness which is very good! All staffs, Bryan, Jason, Miles, Jamie, Phil, Gavin, Ebonie, Lilith & all drivers are very kind, professional & efficient especially Mr. Bryan, Mr.Gavin & Ms. Lilith have been working so many years in that Emmaus Oxford Charity and very hard working too. Many thanks for changing all Homeless people's lives into job & stability and roof over their heads! Soooo Wonderful & appreciated on behalf of homeless people. Sandy Mar Family from Oxford!
Got my self an excellent bargain and help with taking it to my car. It was good to see familiar faces still working there and delivering great service and continued dedication to the cause. The layout and display of goods is organised, easy to navigate and overall reasonably priced. However, although it's a Charity I still feel that most of the furniture is pitched at a Private Landlords budget and not for those struggling to start up from scratch with limited government assistance. People on benefits can do without the competition.
Very very friendly place, but sometimes the furniture's prices a bit much for charity shop.
Very helpful and respectful, delivering was brilliant
The organisation offers house clearance. They looked at the house to be cleared, and were daunted by the number of books. It took them 10 days to come back to me: they were not able to take on the job, although I would say there was nothing particularly difficult about it.
Nice one. Good furniture collection.
In addition to the beautiful and good quality furniture, they've also got a variety of books, dvds, kitchen stuff, clothes and accessories at a really affordable price. Plus the staff are always very friendly and helpful. My favourite charity shop in Oxford.
Best place to go to get lovely furniture
